Olympus 2011 - Brooklyn E (with gauges)

A re-uploading of our Brooklyn run, this time with GPS data from a Garmin Edge 805, tracking our speed and distance through the stage as well as the co-driver heartrate. Gauge overlay created using tools developed by VeryMadMart. The Demon Rally team is proud to present our full run of the famous Brooklyn stage at the recent Olympus Rally 2011. With our turbocharged VW Golf GTI, we set a time of 6:59.5, finishing 1st in 2WD by 11 seconds, 3rd in the regional and 10th overall out of 50 cars. We set an average pace of 60.07mph on one of our favorite rally stages of all time, beating our previous record by 3 seconds and coming within 10 seconds of the longstanding Group 5 record. This stage was part of our 2nd place National 2WD, 11th National overall, 1st place Gp5 regional, 2nd place Max-Attack, 3rd place regional day 1 finish. We also achieved the fastest combined time of both runs of Brooklyn, winning the Piloti Challenge by 9.1 seconds over competitors Wyatt Knox/Ole Holter in their Mazdaspeed 3. Behind us were also various Subaru WRXs and STIs, a Mitsubishi Evo, an Audi urQuattro, as well as Hondas, Toyotas, Nissans and BMWs. Tom and Don Burress are sponsored by Fine Tuning, CTS and RP Turbo, RalleyTuned, JRM, Meister Auto Werks, Spitfire EFI, Product Apparel, JVAB Imports, Techtonics Tuning, 034 Motorsport, Les Schwab Shoreline and NLS.
